Marching Atlas has always been a record of what circuits publish: schedules, running orders, and results when a circuit releases them. What it has not had is a place to say anything about them.
That is what the newsroom is for. Reports cover what happened at one event. Features go longer on a program or a season. Explainers take apart how the activity actually works — captions, classification, how a score is built. Announcements are the team talking about the site itself, which is what this one is.
Everything here is written by the Marching Atlas team and carries a byline saying so. There is no contribution path into it, deliberately: a byline is a claim about who wrote something, and readers contribute records through the contribute form instead, where a moderator checks them before anything reaches the archive.
Articles that are about a specific record link to it, and that record links back. A report on an invitational sits under the invitational's running order, so somebody who came for the schedule finds the write-up and somebody who came for the write-up can go and read the schedule.
